Finally, I find some time for a blog post! Let’s just say that caring for a newborn doesn’t leave much time for anything else, and truthfully I haven’t wanted to do much more than snuggle with baby girl while focusing as much as possible on our firstborn as she adjusts to life with a sibling.
If you had a chance to read my previous post about our toddler’s bedroom, you may remember that my sweet little girl had developed a habit of sleeping in her Ikea Circus Tent instead of her bed. We’ve made many a joke about how she’ll probably turn into a forty-year-old, unmarried woman who still sleeps in a tent on her floor. But, really, as long as she has been sleeping through the night we haven’t been too concerned about location!
We’ve been painting the interior of our house a creamy white (Swiss Coffee from Behr), and as each room in the house is completed and reassembled I’ve been taking the opportunity to do a few small decor updates.
In my previous posts on “Keeping it Clean” I went over my cleaning schedule and daily habits for keeping up with chores, and I talked about how to purge items from your home using methods from Marie Kondo’s The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up.
I’ve been working on adding the finishing touches to baby girl’s nursery and finally completed the flower wall I had planned for above her crib! I’m really happy with how it turned out (though I did add one more of the small flowers to the mix after this photo was taken, and I think it really completed the look).
